As a group, they have returned about +28% YTD versus a S&P 500 return of about +11%.
However, there has been some marked dispersion this year.
If you exclude NVDA (up roughly +132% YTD), the Mag 7 are actually trailing the S&P 500.
Conversely, if you exclude, TSLA (down -29% YTD), the Mag 7 have increased by a substantial +37% in 2024.
